The best takeaway from SIDLIT 2015 (and there was some cool stuff) was this laid-back presentation by Jonathan Bacon. This slideshare can be downloaded and kept at hand for easy reference. Some of this I already knew but he had all of us oohing and aahing at some point.
My favorites include

- (More) typing shortcuts
One that he did not include was the Medical ID. This article reviews how, why and why not to use this feature of your iPhone
