Add Personality to Your Online Course
Adding a fun photo to your online course can be a great way to express your personality and create more interaction with your students. However, it can also be time consuming when you have to take the picture, download it to your computer and upload it to your files. Then, if you want to add special effects, now you have to load the picture into some other software just to have a little fun.
Webcam Toy can help you add some personality while you sit at your desk using your webcam and it's quick and easy. Warning......the quick part might not apply once you get started because did I mention how fun it was???
A great application of this tool was demonstrated by one of our instructors, Beth Cunningham. She had made a mistake in her course, as we all do at times, and as a way of bringing the mistake to the students attention, she made an announcement and included the image below, which was taken with Webcam Toy:
She started the announcement with "What in the world is wrong with this class? Wait, what in the world is wrong with me!?!?" then proceeded to explain the situation and give more direction.
