News that Delicious, the social bookmarking service, is closing due to Yahoo's scale back has been widely posted on the internet. Although not yet announced publicly, Yahoo announced internally yesterday that Delicious is closing.
If you have bookmarks in Delicious that you want to preserve you will want to transfer them to another social bookmarking site. I, personally, like Diigo due to the fact that it has an education component and its ease of use. Check out the instructions to Transfer your Bookmarks from Delicious to Diigo in Five Minutes . The first step requires that you create a Diigo account if you do not already have one.

THANKS for this information as my students are required to gather websites on Special Needs Students. I was having them use delicious but will need to change that to Diigo for Spring 2011. BJ
