Another View on Presentations: Pecha Kucha 20x20

A fun and exciting way to add some pizzazz to your instructor notes or a way to engage students in creating their own presentations.

So, what is a Pecha Kucha you might ask? Well, watch this Pecha Kucha that explains just that. And no worries, all Pecha Kucha presentations are only 6 minutes and 40 seconds long...or thereabouts.

There are so many ways a student could use this format to put together their own presentation that is concise, interesting and doesn't drone on and on and on..... Here is a playlist with a variety of Pecha Kucha presentations. Check out the second one titled "Pecha Kucha Identity through education" for a look at how a student used this method to reflect on the past semester.



This technique can be used easily in the classroom with the student/teacher standing in front of the room and providing the dialogue. It can also be incorporated into Canvas very easily as well using screen capture and audio software.
